Dec. 11, 2024 – At StackCommerce, we pride ourselves on fostering genuine and transparent partnerships with our publishers, affiliates, and content creators. We hold ourselves to the highest ethical standards in all aspects of our business, ensuring that our practices align with both industry regulations and the trust placed in us by our partners.

Recently, an account on X.com has been disseminating false and defamatory statements about our business practices. Specifically, this account has accused StackCommerce of engaging in “parasitic SEO” practices to manipulate search engine rankings for the benefit of affiliate performance. These allegations are entirely untrue and misrepresent the nature of our operations.

To clarify:

  • StackCommerce does not create SEO-optimized content designed to rank on our publisher partners’ websites.
  • We do not implement or stand up subdomains indexed by Google to manipulate SEO rankings, as described in discussions of “parasitic SEO” practices.
  • Our business model focuses on empowering publishers and creators by providing them with curated commerce solutions that drive value for their audiences and businesses, not through deceptive or exploitative tactics.

Some posts by the account in question have included direct tags to some of our valued publisher partners, further compounding the potential for confusion and harm. Despite our attempts to reach the owner of this account to address their claims and correct their misinformation, we have been unsuccessful.

We believe in the importance of constructive dialogue and addressing concerns transparently. However, we cannot allow baseless accusations to undermine our reputation or disrupt our relationships with our partners. We are prepared to take appropriate legal action to protect our business and ensure the truth prevails.

To our partners and stakeholders: We remain steadfast in our commitment to transparency, integrity, and collaboration. If you have any questions or concerns, we encourage you to reach out to us directly through official channels.

Thank you for your continued trust and support.

Sincerely,

Karl House
