Over the past few years, we have seen tremendous growth in our ability to identify and eliminate fraud threats. We are excited to announce our partnership with Sift Science to bring that security to a whole new level – with automation. Our internal fraud team — the “Fraud Fighters” as we like to call them — work tirelessly to review potentially risky orders and squash threats before they become chargebacks or disputes. Our next level integration with Sift Science will automate this process by allowing us to build both smart and effective formulas to automatically block risky orders in real-time, without the need for manual review around the clock from our team.
How It Works
Sift Science works by connecting thousands of seemingly unconnected clues left behind by fraudsters to give users a score from 1-100. Our team can then use these insights to build formulas like “If the user’s Sift Score is over 90, Block the order”. We’ve always taken fraud extremely seriously, and our partnership with Sift will allow us to automate our processes, all while teaching their machine learning technology what risky signals to look for. And their technology is truly amazing — they even have a signal that looks at how much space is between each key you press on your keyboard when entering your email address!
Our Product and Engineering Team has put in heaps of time and effort to make this integration work seamlessly with our backend order management system. We are very excited about it. Keeping our customers safe and preventing risky transactions have always been top priorities, and now we have even better tools and infrastructure to kick these fraudsters out before they ever even make it in. That’s why fraudsters HATE StackCommerce!

Introducing the latest feature for StackCommerce vendors: Batch Snapshots!
Batch Snapshots are the best way to get a quick view of what items are in a batch of orders without having to download it. But it also helps out our users! Here’s how…
When a vendor downloads a batch:
–Customers are no longer able to edit their shipping address
–Our Support team cannot refund an order without contacting vendors directly
In order to assist our customers through every step of their order, it’s especially important that vendors download batches only when they are 100% ready to ship. Batch Snapshots allow vendors to see an overview of the items before they’re ready to ship, so vendors can see how many of each item to prepare without preventing last minute address changes or refunds.
Vendors and customers are two crucial anchors to the StackCommerce family, without which we couldn’t surface such great products to a worldwide community. We’re excited to add this functionality to increase visibility for vendors, and add flexibility for customers! Check it out on your dashboard today.

We’ve enhanced our stores!
This is the latest hot and fresh out the kitchen…
We now have the ability to customize the look of our store fronts with our new homepage customization tool. Publishers can now choose from several different layouts with different options for banner image sizes, products columns and product category order.
Enhanced Email Platform
Email is one of our most important marketing channels, and we take great pride in sending the most engaging and valuable emails possible to our customers. To that end, we have upgraded our email service provider to Responsys, an enterprise-level platform owned by Oracle! With it, we can create highly customized and exceptionally optimized emails to promote the best products to the publisher’s audience.
Deal Feed Widget
The StackCommerce Deal Feed plugin is a new way for our publishers and affiliates to get curated products in front of their readers. Since we have data on how the deals on each store are performing, it creates a huge opportunity to surface the top deals to their readers at the right time. The setup takes less than 10 minutes, and the feed is designed to inherit the existing elements of their site’s design, making it a seamless experience for them and their readers.

New Checkout Experience
One of the most important parts of an online store is the checkout page. We rebuilt it to be faster and easier to use by reorganizing the form fields, and cleaning up the look and feel of the page. The new layout has led to an increase in conversion network wide.
