We are excited to announce our partnership with Sift Science to bring that security to a whole new level – with automation. Our internal fraud team — the “Fraud Fighters” as we like to call them — work tirelessly to review potentially risky orders and squash threats before they become chargebacks or disputes. Our next level integration with Sift Science will automate this process by allowing us to build both smart and effective formulas to automatically block risky orders in real-time, without the need for manual review around the clock from our team.
How It Works
Sift Science works by connecting thousands of seemingly unconnected clues left behind by fraudsters to give users a score from 1-100. Our team can then use these insights to build formulas like “If the user’s Sift Score is over 90, Block the order”. We’ve always taken fraud extremely seriously, and our partnership with Sift will allow us to automate our processes, all while teaching their machine learning technology what risky signals to look for. And their technology is truly amazing — they even have a signal that looks at how much space is between each key you press on your keyboard when entering your email address!
Our Product and Engineering Team has put in heaps of time and effort to make this integration work seamlessly with our backend order management system. We are very excited about it. Keeping our customers safe and preventing risky transactions have always been top priorities, and now we have even better tools and infrastructure to kick these fraudsters out before they ever even make it in.
